Status:
- Released: means officially made public, whether open to anyone or only to a limited number of testers. Put in parentheses the type of release. For example:
- (Developer): e.g. Windows Neptune/5.5.5111.1. If developer release number is available, indicate (Developer Release #). For example, Windows ME/4.90.2358.0 is
(Developer Release 3).
- (PDC YYYY), e.g.
[[PDC 2003]] for Windows Longhorn/6.0.4051.idx02.031001-1340
- (WinHEC YYYY), e.g.
WinHEC 2004 for Windows Longhorn/6.0.4074.idx02.040425-1535
- (Beta #) or (RC#) [Release Candidate], include the number, e.g.
(Beta 1) or (RC1)
- (RTM) for Release to manufacturing
- (SP#) [Service Pack], include the number, e.g. SP1
- (Insider), for builds released under the Windows Insider program
- For terms used in only one operating system, e.g. Windows Vista, indicate month and year and spell out, e.g.
(September 2005 Community Technology Preview), not (Sept. 2005 CTP) for Windows Vista/6.0.5219.winmain idx02.050830-2010.
- For builds with multiple release details, e.g. Windows Vista/6.0.5219.winmain idx02.050830-2010, list alphabetically:

- Leaked: means the opposite of Released; Windows Longhorn build 3683 is an example.
- Unavailable: neither released nor leaked.

- Kernel: First two numbers on About Windows, e.g. 10.0 for Windows 10
- Architecture:
- SKU:

- Business

- Server: specify the specific Server variant
- N/A: from Windows 1.0 to Windows ME line
- Compiled: Compile date, format DD MMMM YYYY, e.g. 11 May 2024. Usually found in build tag or the date system files were created.
- BIOS: usually the same as the compile date, except for builds compiled in evaluation mode (e.g. Windows Longhorn/6.0.4051.idx02.031001-1340), which do not require setting the BIOS date back. Put compile date using format above. If BIOS date not necessary, write N/A.
- Timebomb: number of days from install before build can no longer be used (meaning user can no longer login in). If none, use "None".
- Key: Product key. If none required, use "None".
- Database: Entry in the BetaArchive Database. If none, use Not available.
- For builds with multiple architectures in the database, use the architecture as the label, e.g. for Windows Vista/6.0.5219.winmain idx02.050830-2010, follow this format:
