Windows "Longhorn" build 4011 (with a build tag of 4011.main.030305-2045) is a build of the Microsoft Windows "Longhorn" operating system. Compiled on 5 March 2003, it leaked on 21[1][2] July 2006.[3] This build is similar to build 4008.[3][4]

Main changes

  • Boot screen[3][4][5] (see Gallery)
  • Sidebar: Synchronize (web content) and Windows Media Player tiles[3][6]
  • Desktop Composition Engine (DCE) can be enabled with the command rundll32 uxdesk.dll,DCEStart.[3] DCE only generates a transparency effect on windows and the Start menu[7][3] (see Gallery). A DirectX 8 graphics card is required.[citation needed]
