SUMMARY
Page 398 of the “Microsoft Project for Windows Reference” manual has a documentation error. There is a table that shows what happens to the duration of a task when you change the work for the resource that is assigned to the task. “Increase” and “Decrease” are listed in reverse order.
The table should read as follows:
If You Change the Units for And Units The Task Duration ————————— ——— —————–
A single resource driving Decrease Changes to the work per unit of the duration this resource
Increase Changes to the largest work per unit of the resources assigned
One of multiple resources Decrease Changes to the work per unit of driving the duration this resource
Increase Does not change because other resources drive the task duration
A resource not driving the Decrease Changes to the largest work per task duration unit of the resources assigned
Increase Does not change because other resources drive the task duration
