Development Release #2 is an early pre-release build of the Microsoft Windows 1.0 operating system, compiled sometime in late June 1984. Like the previous build, this build was demonstrated on the Tandy 2000 personal computer.

Overview

The Clipboard application was not included in this build; it was possibly removed due to a bug. It also uses the .MOD extension as the main executable format and thus predates NE.

Just like the previous build, this build was launched from a file called DEMO.BAT, and was ran from a single 5,25" floppy disk.
