SYMPTOMS
In Windows Vista, the System Information tool (Msinfo32.exe) lists zero buttons on a mouse or on another pointing device. 0 appears in the Number of Buttons box.

To use the System Information tool to view the details of a pointing device, follow these steps:
- Click Start, type Msinfo32 in the Start Search box, and then click System Information in the Programs list.
- Expand Components, expand Input, and then expand Pointing Device.
