SYMPTOMS

When you click Word 2007 format (*.docx) or click Word 97-2003 format (*.doc) to save a Microsoft Works Word Processor document in Microsoft Works 8, you receive the following error message:

Works cannot save "path\filename." There may not be enough space on the computer or Works cannot save the file to the specified destination.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, click Word 97-2002 & 6.0/95 RTF (*.doc) to save the Works Word Processor document.
