SYMPTOMS
In Desktop Standard PolicyMaker Standard Edition, you receive the following error message when you try to import or deploy a license in the License Import, View & Request dialog box:
CAUSE
When you try to import or deploy a license, the operation writes a License.xml file from the source location to the target location. However, the License.xml file cannot be written to the correct location if an empty License.xml file already exists in either the source location or in the target location.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, delete the empty License.xml file. This file is located in the following Group Policy object (GPO) folder:
%WINDIR%\SYSVOL\Sysvol\FQDN
\Policies\
Note The FQDN
placeholder is a placeholder for the fully qualified domain name. Each GPO has a GUID, and the GUID is used in the folder name of the folder that corresponds to each GPO.
