SYMPTOMS
When a Microsoft Exchange cluster has two or more Exchange virtual servers, the second Exchange virtual server cannot fail over successfully. This occurs after you install Microsoft Antigen 9.0 for Exchange on every node of the cluster. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
CAUSE
When you install Antigen on every node of an Exchange cluster, the installation program creates an AntigenIMC resource. When a node fails over, that resource does not start. Then, you receive the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, a new installation build has been created specifically for Exchange cluster environments. The new build number is 9.00.1055.64. To obtain this installation build, contact Microsoft Customer Support Services.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
