INTRODUCTION
This article lists the Microsoft COM+ bugs that are fixed in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Post-Service Pack 1 COM+ 1.5 Hotfix Rollup Package 6. Each package contains all the fixes that were released in the previous Windows Server 2003 COM+ 1.5 hotfix rollup packages.
Issues that are fixed in this hotfix rollup package
The following issues are fixed in this hotfix rollup package:
899597 FIX: A failfast occurs in the just-in-time code when DestroyManagedStub method notifications are received in COM+ 1.5
899596 FIX: The Dllhost process may unexpectedly time out when you click to select the "Leave running when idle" check box in a COM+ application
899426 FIX: The MSDTC service does not start in a stand-alone cluster after you install Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1
899425 FIX: Out of memory exception errors may occur in the BizTalk Server process (Btsntsvr.exe) in Windows Server 2003
899424 FIX: Your WinFX application crashes when you try to use the FileRecordSequence.WriteRestartArea method that is included in the WinFX SDK
899756 FIX: MSDTC does not detect process termination, and MSDTC cannot set time-out values for XA transactions in Windows Server 2003
897253 FIX: The MSDTC proxy may become unstable and may not enlist in transactions when the MSDTC proxy logs lots of TM_DOWN event notifications in Windows Server 2003
897571 FIX: A DCOM static TCP endpoint is ignored when you configure the endpoint for WMI on a Windows Server 2003-based computer
The following issues are also fixed in this hotfix rollup package but were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
- The Web Services Atomic Transaction (WS-AtomicTransaction) coordinator does not start as expected.
- The CoAccessCheck API has been removed to improve support for the Indigo Microsoft .NET technologies.
- You cannot export from the COMAdmin object in COM+ 1.0 format.
