SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Windows Server 2003, out of memory exception errors may occur in the Microsoft BizTalk Server process (Btsntsvc.exe).
CAUSE
This problem occurs when the BizTalk Server process (Btsntsvc.exe) uses Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MSDTC) to read and write to shared memory variables. In MSDTC, some of the shared memory variables are not marked as volatile and may become locked. Therefore, when many threads are waiting for access to a shared memory variable, an out of memory exception error may occur.
