Incorrect Mouse Behavior on Genius Full Page Display

SUMMARY
When you run version 5.5 of Microsoft Word for MS-DOS on a computer that includes a mouse pointing device and a Genius full-page display, the mouse will not operate correctly in the text 66-line or graphics 63-line display mode.
The following problems will occur if you use the mouse in these display modes:
- Cannot select options from within a drop-down menu. The menu item displayed in reverse video will not correspond to the location of the mouse cursor within the drop-down menu.
- The mouse cursor will disappear after it passes the twenty-fifth line displayed on the screen. Text (or dialog box options) displayed below the twenty-fifth line cannot be selected using the mouse.
These problems do not occur if you run Word 5.5 in the text 25-line display mode.
Selecting menu options and document text with the keyboard is not affected when you are running in text 66-line or graphics 63-line display mode.
Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.

The video driver for the Genius display (SCREEN.VID) should have a size of 10,123 bytes. To have SETUP.EXE create a Word 5.5 video driver file (SCREEN.VID) for the Genius full-page display, select “MicroDisplay Systems Genius” from the list of display adapters proposed by Setup. This option is only available on MS-DOS computer systems.
