The following is a description of the problem that was corrected in the Patch 6 update to LAN Manager version 2.00b.
TITLE Browser Thread in WKSTA.EXE Picks Up Various Broadcast Packets
DESCRIPTION The browser thread in the WKSTA.EXE picks up various broadcast packets. In the case of a second class mailslot broadcast, the browser thread writes the data into the local mailslot. While trying to parse a corrupt packet, the browser thread GP-faults.
