Summary:

The following information outlines the steps for exporting a Tagged Image Format (TIFF) file from Micrografx Designer version 3.01. Although these steps are likely similar, they may vary from earlier versions of Micrografx Designer.

Steps to Export

1. Select the symbols you want to include in the exported file, or select no symbols to export the entire drawing.

2. From the File menu, choose the Export command.

3. Type a name for the file with no extension.

4. Select the “TIF Tag Image File Format” export option, choose the Export command, and press ENTER. Designer automatically adds a file extension depending on the output format chosen. The TIF file extension assigned by Designer matches what is expected by the Word for Windows graphics filter TIFF.FLT.

   Note: The external TIFF filter is new to Word for Windows 1.1a. TIFF support in previous versions of Word for Windows was provided through an internal TIFF filter.

5. In the TIFF Output Configuration dialog box that appears, choose any of the TIFF formats with the exception of 24-Bit RGB Color. This option is not currently supported by the Word for Windows TIFF filter. Choose to compress the output file. Choose either Screen or Printer as the output device. Press ENTER to write the TIFF output file.
