PROBLEM ID: DLM9103006
SYMPTOMS MS-DOS version 3.30 workstations receive the following error when executing an application on the server:
Sharing violation error reading drive d: Abort, Retry, Fail.
This error is not returned on MS-DOS version 4.01 workstations.
CAUSE The sharing violation message is not being returned to the application on an MS-DOS version 3.30 workstation, but instead is being returned to MS-DOS.
STATUS Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in DOS LAN Manager version 2.00b. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
