PROLM9103005: Sample APPCDEMO Program Doesn’t Work Correctly ID Number: Q70874

2.00b OS/2 buglist2.00b

Summary:

PROBLEM ID: OLM9103005

SYMPTOMS The sample APPC application named APPCDEMO that is included with Comm Server fails to work correctly under certain circumstances, which are described below.

CAUSE When both read and write multiplex are disabled, APPCDEMO continues to run without stopping. When read multiplex is enabled, and write is/isn’t disabled, APPCDEMO stays up for a few minutes, and then a Trap D error occurs. When write multiplex is enabled, and read multiplex is disabled, APPCDEMO comes up and immediately a Trap D error occurs.

STATUS Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in OS/2 LAN Manager version 2.00b. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
