Summary:
FIND returns an error when the string equals “=” or “/”.
The following are examples:
Find “/” results in “Invalid Switch”. Find “=” or Find “anystring=” results in “Invalid Keyword”.
The string can contain an equal sign (=) at any position within the string if there is a space immediately preceding the equal sign. For example:
Find " =" or Find “anystring =” will execute successfully.
This workaround is not true of the “/” character.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in MS-DOS versions 4.x. This problem does not occur in later versions of MS-DOS.
