Project: Support for the HP Draftmaster RX Plotter PSS ID Number: Q70668 Article last modified on 08-20-1993 PSS database name: D_PRoject

4.00

MS-DOS

The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project, version 4.0

Summary:

Microsoft Project version 4.00 does not directly support the Hewlett-Packard (HP) Draftmaster RX plotter. This plotter, by default, uses the HPGL/2 language.

More Information:

To get the plotter to work with MS Project, you need to change the emulation mode of the plotter to HPGL and select the HP 7596a model. You also need to load the Draftmaster II driver (HPDMII.PLT) into your Microsoft Project directory by copying this file from the Utilities diskette. This driver emulates the HP 7596a Plotter.

Once the plotter driver has been copied from your Utilities diskette, to use the driver, do the following:

  1. From the command menu, choose Print. Select Utilities and use the TAB key to select the Plot option.
  2. From the Plot menu, choose Print, Options, and press the DOWN ARROW key.
  3. From the list of drivers, select HPDMII.PLT and press ENTER.
  4. Press the ESC key and choose Exit.

Microsoft has not tested this emulation and therefore cannot guarantee the results.
