SUMMARY
The program MAKEDAT.EXE can create and modify Microsoft Word version 5.00’s downloadable font information (DAT) files. Word’s internal downloading program uses information in DAT files for downloading soft fonts.
MAKEDAT is similar in its operation and function to the supplied printer driver modification utility, MakePRD.
MAKEDAT.EXE and MAKEDAT.DOC (instructions for using MAKEDAT) are available as part of the Printer Driver Developer’s Kit. Requests for this kit should be forwarded to the Word PRD Liaison.

This program is no longer available as an application note from PSS.
