PSS ID Number: Q70373 Article last modified on 11-02-1994

5.50 6.00

MS-DOS

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Word version 5.00, the speed formatting key combination ALT+F indents the first line of a paragraph to the next tab stop on the ruler. Word version 5.50 does not have an equivalent speed formatting key combination, but rather a macro to perform this function, which is as follows:

Word 5.50 Macro Key Combination ————— —————

indent_first CTRL+W, I

The above macro increases the indents of the first line of a paragraph to the next tab on the ruler.

To use this macro, follow the instructions in the section titled “Using the Supplied Macros” on page 444 of the Using Microsoft Word manual for version 5.50.
