The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows operating system version 3.0

Summary:

The Expanz Board from Intchip Technologies is a disk expander card that has the capability to double or triple the capacity of a hard disk, floppy disk, optical disk, or RAM drive. The Expanz Board automatically intercepts anything read from or written to the selected partitions and will compress or decompresses it.

Intchip Technologies does not recommend running Windows with a permanent swapfile. However, to use a permanent swapfile with the Expanz Board, the swapfile must be placed on a noncompressed drive partition.

The product included here is manufactured by vendors independent of Microsoft. We make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this product’s performance or reliability.
