Using the words “data,” “ask,” “include,” “if,” “endif,” “else,” “next,” or “set” as field names in a Microsoft Word for the Macintosh print merge data document will result in the error message “Field name may not be a reserved word.” This error occurs because these names are print merge special instructions. Once the field names are changed, the print merge will continue successfully.
