Excel for OS/2: Australian List Separator Incorrect PSS ID Number: Q58071 Article last modified on 06-23-1993 PSS database name: W_eXceL
2.20
OS/2
Summary:
Microsoft Excel for OS/2 incorrectly uses a semicolon for the “list separator” when using the Australia country setting. The correct list separator is a comma. For example, if you entered the formula =SUM(A1,A3,C1) Excel would return an “Error In Formula message”; however, if you entered the formula =SUM(A1;A3;C1) the function would return the value.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem with Microsoft Excel for OS/2 Version 2.20. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
