SUMMARY
The following guide to moving the cursor with the cursor keys accommodates keyboards with or without a numeric keypad. The CTRL key can be substituted whenever the COMMAND key is called for.
To Move the Cursor Press This Key or Key Combination —————— ———————————
Left one character LEFT ARROW or 4 key on numeric keypad
Right one character RIGHT ARROW or 6 key on numeric keypad
Left one word OPTION+LEFT ARROW or OPTION+4 key on numeric keypad
Right one word OPTION+RIGHT ARROW or OPTION+6 key on numeric keypad
Beginning of line COMMAND+LEFT ARROW or COMMAND+4 key on numeric keypad
End of line COMMAND+RIGHT ARROW or COMMAND+6 key on numeric keypad
Up one line COMMAND+UP ARROW, 9 on the numeric keypad, or PAGE UP
Down one line COMMAND+DOWN ARROW, 3 on the numeric keypad, or PAGE DOWN
Top of document OPTION+UP ARROW, COMMAND+9 on the numeric keypad, or COMMAND+PAGE UP
