SUMMARY

The following procedure can be used to find the day of a given date in the Database or Spreadsheet module of Microsoft Works versions 1.x and 2.0:

Spreadsheet

  1. Enter the date into the cell of the spreadsheet.
  2. From the Format menu, choose Set Cell Attributes.
  3. In the Set Cell Attributes dialog box, select the Date Medium or Date Long options under Display.
  4. Under Display, click the Show Day check box.
  5. Click OK.

Database

  1. Enter the date into the field of the database.
  2. From the Format menu, choose Set Cell Attributes.
  3. In the Set Field Attributes dialog box, select Date under Type.
  4. Under Display, select the Medium or Long options.
  5. Under Display, click the Show Day check box.

This procedure will cause the day to be displayed before the date. The day can be shown for any date between the years 1904 and 2039, which are the limits of the Macintosh date system.
