Summary:

When Snap To Grid is chosen from Microsoft PowerPoint’s Draw menu, some text blocks may not snap to the grid consistently and may not line up with each other or with other objects in the slide.

To correct this problem, do the following:

  1. From the Draw menu, choose Ignore Grid.
  2. Drag the misaligned text blocks so that they align with each other. The guides may help you do this.
  3. From the Draw menu, choose Snap To Grid.

The improperly aligned text blocks will now be aligned properly with the grid when they are moved around.
