SUMMARY
Word Version 5.00 does not load files from an appended directory unless you type in the path to these files.
The DOS Append command acts similar to a search path for data files. In Word Version 4.00, files that are in an appended directory can be loaded with the Transfer Load command by typing in their name (without the associated path) and pressing ENTER.
In Version 5.00, Word searches for files in the directory named with the Transfer Options command, and not in appended directories.
