SUMMARY
When the Print Options “range:” field is set to Selection, Word Version 5.00 replaces a paragraph number, footnote number, or page number reference with a question mark (?) when printing.
When printing a selection of a document, Word does not repaginate the document, and therefore, has no way of knowing if changes have been made that affect proper numbering.
