SUMMARY
In Microsoft Word for DOS version 5.0, attempting to choose Link Graphic from the Library menu to link in any file that is zero to five bytes in size causes the following error message to appear:
Not a valid spreadsheet file
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word version 5.0. This problem has been corrected in Word version 5.5.
