SUMMARY
The Print Merge Records command allows 0 (zero) to be entered in the “record numbers:” field. When this is done, however, a chevron prints out instead of a record.
A sample DATA document may appear as follows:
firstname,lastname,city,state,zip Bob,Wilson,Boston,MA,12345 John,Smith,Phoenix,AZ,67890
A sample MAIN document may appear as follows:
<<data c:.doc>> <<fname>> <<lname>> <<city>>, <<state>> <<zip>>
If the MAIN document is active and the Print Merge Records “record numbers:” field equals zero, a chevron prints out instead of a record.
To specify specific records to print out, choose Print Merge Options, select Records in the “range:” field, and specify the record numbers in the “record numbers:” field.
