SUMMARY
If a text selection contains a section break, selecting Insert Table and then clicking OK in the Insert Table dialog box will give the following error message:
“Cannot create a table with a section break.”
This error message will also appear if the last paragraph mark in a document is selected by itself. This is because the last paragraph mark carries the section properties of the last section of the document.
If a text selection includes other text in addition to the last paragraph mark in the document, the last paragraph mark is ignored and the table can be inserted.
