SUMMARY

To apply the Save As command in Microsoft Works version 2.00 to a previously saved file, you must change the filename or its location, or both its name and its location. This feature is part of the design of the program. The Save As command will not allow the overwriting of an existing file additionally, it prevents unintentional overwriting.

The standard Save function will save changes made to a file without affecting the name or disk location of the file. Even if the disk from which the file was opened is not available in a disk drive, the Save command can still be executed. If this is the case, a dialog box will appear requesting that the proper disk be inserted.
