SUMMARY

When running Word with a Video Seven VGA graphics card and a monochrome display monitor, the DIP switches on the graphics card should be set as follows:

Switch 3 - ON All other switches - OFF

Without the correct DIP switch settings, bold or italic characters may disappear on the screen.

Microsoft has not tested Word with this configuration, and therefore, we cannot confirm this information.
