SUMMARY

To print cursor linedraw characters on the Epson FX-85, do the following:

1. Format the linedraw characters for NLQ 12.
2. Set the dip switches on the printer so that the printer uses the IBM character set rather than the Epson character set.

An NLQ upgrade kit is available from Epson that will upgrade the Epson FX-80, effectively making the FX-80 into an FX-85. As with the FX-85, the dip switches must be set so that the printer accesses the IBM character set, not the Epson character set.
