SUMMARY

In Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, when a document is formatted with a decimal tab at the same setting as or to the right of the right indent, text characters that are typed to the right of the decimal point will extend beyond the edge of the page.

Once the text has reached the edge of the page, the function of the tab is overridden and the number will not line up with the appropriate decimal tab.

This behavior is by program design.
