- Microsoft MS-DOS operating system version 4.0 |
Summary:
There was a problem in MS-DOS version 4.0 with recognizing hard disks formatted with OS/2 version 1.10. This problem occurred because MS-DOS did not understand the version number in the OEM Name field of the boot sector created by OS/2 version 1.10: “10.1”.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in MS-DOS version 4.00. This problem does not occur in later versions of MS-DOS.
