SUMMARY
To have the ruler displayed every time you open a window in Microsoft Word for the Macintosh version 4.0, follow these steps:
- From the Edit menu, choose Commands.
- From the list of commands, choose Open Documents With Ruler.
- Click the Do button.
Note: This command can also be added to a menu and/or can have a command-key assignment.
To clear this option so that the ruler is not automatically displayed when you open a window, follow the same three steps above. This command is a “toggle.”
