SUMMARY

A series of number signs (#) will appear in a Microsoft Works database field or in a spreadsheet cell in the following cases:

  • A number less than 0 or greater than 49710 is entered in the field or cell and the attributes are set for a date. The range of serial numbers for dates is 0 to 49710; this range is based on the Macintosh operating system.

    -or-

  • The attributes for the field or cell are set to Fixed, Dollar, Percent, or Scientific, and the field or cell is not wide enough to display the information.
