SYMPTOMS

You create a vCard in Microsoft Outlook. If the title and the first name are the same, and if you save the contact as a vCard, the full name does not display the title.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, type the title and the first name in the First Name field. To do this, follow these steps, as appropriate for the version of Outlook that you are running.

Microsoft Office Outlook 2007

1. Create a new contact, and then click Full Name.
2. Leave the Title field blank.
3. In the First Name field, type the title and the first name.
4. Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Save As.
5. For the file type, click vCard files.
6. Save the vCard.
7. Open the vCard to verify that your changes were saved.

Microsoft Outlook 2002

1. Create a new contact, and then click Full Name.
2. Leave the Title field blank.
3. In the First Name field, type the title and the first name.
4. On the File menu, click Save As.
5. For the file type, click vCard files (*.vcf).
6. Save the vCard.
7. Open the vCard to verify that your changes were saved.
