SYMPTOMS

When you rotate an image by using the By degree option, the image disappears and is not printed.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem and rotate an image, use either of the following methods.

Method 1: Rotate by Using the Left, Right, Transpose, Invert, or Mirror Option

1. Start Microsoft Photo Editor and open an image.
2. On the Image menu, click Rotate.
3. In the Rotate dialog box, click to select one of the following, and then click OK:
   • Rotate Left
   • Rotate Right
   • Transpose
   • Invert
   • Mirror

Method 2: Rotate by Degrees

To rotate your image by degrees, use a different graphics program--for example, use Microsoft PhotoDraw 2000. To rotate an image in Microsoft PhotoDraw 2000, follow these steps:

1. Start Microsoft PhotoDraw 2000 and open your image.
2. On the Arrange menu, point to Rotate, and then click Custom Rotate.
3. In the Custom box in the Arrange dialog box, type or select the degree that you want to rotate your image.
4. Click the Close button (the X in the upper-right corner) in the Arrange dialog box.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 Service Pack 3.
