SYMPTOMS
After you upgrade your DFS server to Service Pack 5, you may receive a Blue Screen. The stop screen may contain the following text:
CAUSE
This issue can occur if your DFS root is set to the root of your drive (c:\).
If you have a program trying to send information across your network to this DFS share referencing it as a relative path, it can pass a bad link and cause your Server to Blue Screen.
RESOLUTION
Windows 2000
