SYMPTOMS
If you back up a file to a shared network drive, you may receive the following error message, depending on your version of Microsoft Money.
In Money 99
The path name is invalid. Please use a valid path name.
In Money 98
<file name> This filename is not valid
CAUSE
The problem can occur when you attempt to save the backup file to a shared network drive to which you are not connected.
RESOLUTION
To prevent the error message, connect to the shared network drive before attempting to back up your file.
