BUG: Not Enough Disk Space When Saving a Scene with XFS

The information in this article applies to:
- Softimage 3D for IRIX, version 3.7
SYMPTOMS
Softimage disk space estimates are wrong with XFS file systems.
When you save a scene, SOFTIMAGE 3D estimates the available disk space. With the XFS file system, the software may indicate that there is not enough disk space when in fact there is. However, upon saving, a confirmation dialog box appears allowing you to save the scene.
CAUSE
This is a known bug [Bug #2822] that is listed in the SOFTIMAGE 3D Release Notes version 3.7 in the Known Problems section.
RESOLUTION
This bug does not prevent you from saving your scene.
STATUS
Softimage has confirmed this to be a bug [Bug #2822]. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
