SUMMARY

When you view the "Doing Business on the Internet" Web page located on the Microsoft Office 97 CD, the Web page may not be completely loaded or may appear to stop responding (hang). The following error message is displayed in the status bar of Microsoft Internet Explorer:

connect to with origin from file

CAUSE

This problem occurs when both of the following conditions are true:

  • You are running Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02.

  • You are viewing the "Doing Business on the Internet" Web page in the Microsoft Office 97 ValuPack.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, download and install the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer. To do this, browse to the following Microsoft Web site:
