PRB: Particle Databases That Do Not Appear in File Browsers
Last reviewed: June 20, 1997
Article ID: Q170169
The information in this article applies to:
- Softimage 3D for Windows NT, version 3.51
SYMPTOMS
You are unable to see one or more of your Particle databases in a file browser.
CAUSE
One of the following two conditions may be the cause:
- Particle has a 78 character directory path limit, therefore directory paths that are longer than this do not appear in file browsers.
- When you run SOFTIMAGE Particle 3.51 on Windows NT 4.0, if the directory path does not end with a forward slash (\), SI3D scenes will not appear in the file browser.
RESOLUTION
If the directory path where your databases reside has more than 78 characters, move the files to a directory with fewer than 78 characters.
If the directory path does not end with a forward slash (\), change it by adding one.
STATUS
This problem has been corrected for the next release.
