Office Professional version 7.0A/
Bookshelf 1995 edition
Standard
Version 7.0A
RESOLUTION
To determine if you have the Microsoft Office version 7.0b compact disc, you can do the following:
- Insert your Microsoft Office compact disc into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
- Check the date of the Setup.exe file on the root folder of the Office Professional compact disc. If you are using Microsoft Windows NT, you can view the date in File Manager; if you are using Microsoft Windows 95, you can view the date in the Properties window for this file.
The Create Date for the Setup.exe file on the Microsoft Office version 7.0b compact disc should be as follows:
Professional: 3/20/96 Standard : 3/21/96
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
MORE INFORMATION
The easiest way to determine whether or not you have the version 7.0b compact disc is to check the date of the files on the compact disc. Another way to verify that you have the 7.0b compact disc is to check the versions of the Microsoft Office programs that are installed from the compact disc. Following is a table that lists the version numbers for the Office programs that are installed from the compact disc:
Office Pro 7.0a Office Pro 7.0b Microsoft Office Program Program Version Program Version ------------------------------------------------------------------- Microsoft Word 7.0a 7.0a Microsoft Excel 7.0a 7.0a Microsoft PowerPoint 7.0a 7.0b Microsoft Access (Professional only) 7.00 7.00 Microsoft Binder 7.0a 7.0a
NOTE: Although it may appear from this table that Microsoft Access did not change from Microsoft Office 7.0 to Microsoft Office 7.0a and 7.0b, there are differences in the versions of Microsoft Access.
NOTE: You can find the version number of a Microsoft Office program by clicking "About <program name>" on the Help menu.
