SYMPTOMS
When text is copied from a Works Word Processor document, the text may wrap incorrectly after it is pasted into either the Draw layer or into a Draw document.
The text may wrap in a single column of letters going down the Draw layer/document.
CAUSE
This problem will occur when the indent markers have been adjusted in the originally copied text.
RESOLUTION
To correct this problem:
- Highlight the text and choose Copy from the Edit menu.
- Open a new Word Processor document and activate the Draw layer by choosing any of the drawing tools on the Tool palette.
- From the Edit menu, choose Paste.
- From the Tool Palette, select the Text tool (capital A).
- Click the pasted text to get an insertion point.
- Highlight all the text.
- On the ruler, move the indents to the correct location.
- Once the text is wrapping correctly, choose the Selection tool (the arrow) on the Tool palette.
- Click the text object and choose Copy from the Edit menu.
The text will now paste correctly.
