  • == Microsoft Works for the Macintosh, version 3.0 ==

SYMPTOMS

When you check the spelling of a Microsoft Works 3.0 Word Processing document, Works may unexpectedly quit or stop responding (hang) in the middle of the spelling process.

This problem may be related to a series of characters that exceeds the 255-character limit. Most commonly this is found when creating a form and using the underline key to create a blank line.

RESOLUTION

Instead of using the underline key to create a blank line, switch to the draw layer and use the line tool to create a line. Then position the line in the correct location.
