SUMMARY
In Microsoft Excel, if you copy cells from a worksheet and then attempt to paste them onto a dialog sheet, you may receive the error message
Locked cells cannot be changed
(even though dialog sheets do not contain cells) and the information is not pasted onto the dialog sheet.
NOTE: This problem does not occur when you attempt to paste a drawing or picture object.
MORE INFORMATION
To copy cells in a worksheet and paste them into a dialog sheet, do either of the following:
- Select an object in the dialog sheet (such as the frame of the dialog box) before you paste the information. When the cells are pasted, they will be pasted as a picture. -or-
- Copy the cells as a picture. Instead of clicking Copy on the Edit menu, press the SHIFT key and click Copy Picture on the Edit menu.
