The information in this article applies to:
SUMMARYIn Microsoft Word you can toggle field codes on and off. To do this, click Options on the Tools menu (in Word 98 Macintosh Edition, click Preferences on the Tools menu), click the View tab, and click to select (turn on) or clear (turn off) the Field Codes check box. To quickly toggle field codes display, press ALT+F9 (OPTION+F9 on the Macintosh). MORE INFORMATIONTo add field codes to the View menu, use the appropriate method for your version of Word. Word 97
