- Microsoft Windows NT Workstation version 3.1
- Microsoft Windows NT Advanced Server, version 3.1
SUMMARY
When using Windows NT Diagnostics, the Details button of the Drives Information dialog box is grayed out if a removable media drive is selected and there is no media in the drive. Windows NT Diagnostics retrieves drive details from the media itself. Without a formatted disk in a drive, it cannot read any information.
Insert a formatted disk in the drive to view the details of a removable media drive. You may need to choose Drives again for Windows NT Diagnostics to sense the inserted disk. CD-ROM, floppy, floptical and bernoulli drives are all recognized by Windows NT.
